GREEN-MAP GRANT

„Novel green polymeric materials for medical packaging and disposables to improve hospital sustainability”

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 872152.

The ultimate research goal of the GREEN-MAP project is to enable a circular economy within the disposable medical device industry. We will develop novel bio-based, biodegradable polymers that can be used in medical device packaging, as well as for disposable medical devices/components. By combining renewable, bio-based monomers with biodegradability via industrial composting and/or anaerobic digestion and bioconversion, we will enable a sustainable path for the disposable medical device market—expected to double by 2023—ultimately leading to a circular economy.

The aim of the project was to improve the innovation and competitiveness of Polish enterprises through the development of innovative, biodegradable sensory packaging and their introduction to the global market.

“Implementation of the production of innovative packaging using rotogravure technology” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Smart Growth Operational Program for 2014-2020, Priority Axis 3: “Support for innovation in enterprises”.

The aim of the project is to implement an innovative technological process developed by the research team of KB Folie Polska Sp. z o. o., which will enable the production of new packaging solutions consistent with the concept of a closed-loop economy.

“Development of technologies of processing multi-material post-production waste that is burdensome to the environment towards obtaining material with defined properties for use in industry” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under Priority Axis I: “Use of research and development activities in the economy” of Regional Operational Program of the Masovian Voivodeship for 2014-2020.

The aim of the project was to develop a technology enabling the use of high-value waste generated during the production of plastic packaging in industry.

“Implementation of a research and development service for developing a packaging material intended for packaging freshly cut fruit and/or vegetables” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under Priority Axis II: “Support for the environment and the potential of enterprises to conduct R&D&I activities” of Smart Growth Operational Program 2014-2020.

The aim of the project was to verify the possibility of obtaining a composite material intended for packaging fresh, cut plant products in the form of a bag-type packaging closed with thermal sealing technology.
